FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
"Something Takes Place " Summer Community Art Event
Will Be Held on June 11
HOLLAND, Mich. - May 12 — Artists need not look any further for an outlet to showcase their work and connect with the expanding artistic community. “Something Takes Place ” announces its first summer event on June 11.
Held at the local Holland Park Theatre, “Something Takes Place” will start promptly at 7:30 p.m., showcasing the local talent of artists around West Michigan . Music, short films, animations, poetry readings, dances, skits, and monologues will be performed for the community’s enjoyment. Gallery art will also be filtered throughout the venue for observation and purchase.
The event will have two acts separated by a 10:30 p.m. intermission. The first act will cater to a more family-friendly crowd, and the second act will cater to the adult crowd, as a cash bar will open at this time. Food and STP merchandise will be available for purchase all night until the event’s 1:30 a.m. finish.
First initiating itself as a free online forum, somethingtakesplace.com offers artists the opportunity to create profiles and share multimedia portfolios of many file types for their own personal or commercial use. It is open to artists of all types and offers the registered community members the ability to discuss and comment on the posted work.
Something takes place when creative minds come together and share their passions, and that is why the coordinators of “Something Takes Place” have also created this local community event on June 11that encourages creative expression in all forms. If you are interested in showcasing your graphic, video, audio, or written talents at “Something Takes Place”, please send an email to contact@somethingtakesplace.com.
Please spread the word about this exciting community event and know that we look forward to seeing you at Holland Park Theatre on June 11!
